IIT Kanpur hosting Security, Privacy and Cryptographic Engineering (SPACE) conference

Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K) is hosting the 8th International Conference on Security, Privacy and Applied Cryptography Engineering (SPACE 2018) from tomorrow.


SPACE is an annual event devoted to various aspects of security, privacy, applied cryptography, and cryptographic engineering.


National cyber security coordinator of India Dr Gulshan Rai will also address the conference, which is being organised by IIT Kanpur in collaboration with the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and Cryptology Research Society of India (CRSI).


It is also sponsored by the NTRO/NCIIPC (National Critical Infrastructure Protection Center), DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organisation), SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board), SUBEX, Robert Bosch Business and Engineering Solutions, and Google.


The first two days of the conference will be dedicated to workshops by researchers from countries like Iran, Belgium and Singapore.


According to the Institute, conference chairs are Prof Sandeep K Shukla and Prof Manindra Agrawal.
