Apex traders’ body Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has organised a 2-day national executive meet in Jaipur beginning July 19.
Representatives of different traders’ organisations will discuss current issues facing domestic retail sector viz. national retail policy, ecommerce, goods and services tax (GST) etc.
CAIT national general secretary (organisation) and Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal president Sanjay Gupta said here today traders’ representatives from 29 states would attend the meet and discuss ways to boost domestic and traditional retail.
According to CAIT, there are 58 million small businesses and traders in India, accounting for 45% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employing 460 million people and generating annual turnover of nearly Rs 39 trillion.
