Yogi Adityanath government has urged the Centre for providing capital subsidy to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector for promoting investment.

The state government has also demanded easy visa system for Uttar Pradesh based exporters, who have to travel to New Delhi for obtaining foreign travel documents.

Addressing the Board of Trade meeting chaired by union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal at New Delhi recently, UP MSME, investment and export promotion minister Sidharth Nath Singh claimed the state had clocked robust growth in exports.

Underlining UP’s potential for investment, Singh suggested the Centre to encourage competition among the states by announcing higher subsidies to MSMEs and export units.

The Adityanath government is targetting UP to hit US $1 trillion mark by 2024 in consonance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious vision of India becoming a $5 trillion in the next 5 years.
