IIM Lucknow hosts investment summit ‘Nivesh 2018’

Credence Capital, the investment fund of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L), hosted its Annual Investment Summit ‘Nivesh’ recently for promoting the culture of value investing and management of personal finances amongst the students.


Nivesh encompasses flagship speaker sessions, panel discussion, hands-on workshop on value investing and a pan-India equity research competition for students of top MBA colleges.


The theme of Nivesh 2018 was ‘Mastering investment and business cycles’, which saw erudite panel of speakers viz. Harsha Upadhyaya (CIO, Kotak Mahindra AMC), Anish Tawakley (Fund Manager, ICICI Prudential), Nithya Easwaran (Multiples Equity), Akash Singhania (Sr VP, Motilal Oswal) and Vihang Naik (Fund Manager, L&T Mutual Fund) sharing their opinions and insights.


The students got the opportunity to hear from these investors first hand regarding their investment philosophy and stock picking process through their years of industry experience.


It was followed by the a panel discussion on ‘Behavioural nuances of investing cycles’. The discussion delved upon the multiple facets of the investment scenario and shed some light on how seasoned professionals see the markets going forward.
